Hey guys, happy Friday! Does anyone else feel like this has been the longest, most draining week ever?! Well, if you’re in the same boat as me, we just have to power through one more day of work and then we’ll be free to enjoy the long 4th of July weekend! Currently counting down the hours until I can have a fun-filled weekend of poolside relaxation, sipping on margaritas, and spending much-needed quality time with all my friends.
I’ve accumulated quite a bit of clothing over the past few weeks—summer sales get me every time—so today I wanted to share some of my favorite finds with Y’all. And yes, I do realize that I’m wearing an all black outfit even though it’s summer. And to that I say screw it. I stand by the phrase, “when in doubt, wear black”, so if something comes in multiple different colors but I like black the best, I’ll still buy it regardless of what season we’re in.
I used to feel iffy about the choker tee trend, but I love the way this one looks! Remember when I shared my Top 5 Tips for Shopping at Shein as well as some of my favorite items from the site? Well, add this choker tee to the list because it’s amazing! It’s perfectly oversized, and for only being $16, the quality is surprisingly really good. The main reason I was hesitant to rock this trend was that I kept seeing shirts with v-necks so low that your whole chest would be showing (no, thank you). However, the v-neck on this one is the perfect size so you can throw it on without a bralette or bandeau and not have to worry about being overexposed.
Slides have quickly become the go-to sandal for the summer time, and rightfully so. While searching for a pair of my own, it was important for me to find some that were not only cute but super comfortable too because—let’s face it—though this style of shoe can be paired with nicer outfits, I knew they were also going to be the sandals I threw in a bag to go to the pool with, wear with athletic shorts and a t-shirt to run errands in, etc. I found mine at DSW and they are seriously the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn in a while. I highly recommend.
I probably have around 5 different types of denim jackets (dark cropped, light cropped, vest, hoodie, etc) but I never felt like I owned the perfect one. That all changed when I found this gem at Zara (don’t be fooled by the online image, it’s way cuter in person). I love how it’s the perfect length and shade of denim that pairs well with anything. When I tried it on, I instantly thought it looked like something you’d find at J-Crew or Madewell, and at $39.99, I knew I just had to have it.
This look basically sums up my favorite items in my closet right now (I still haven’t come down from the shopping high I felt when I found all these goodies!) Now let’s hope my next outfit has a little bit more color, no promises though!
