One of my favorite posts to read by other bloggers is currently blog posts. Being the inquisitive (er, nosy) person that I am, I find it so interesting to hear what other people are up to, what they’re eating, watching, and the like. There are so many things I love to rave about, so I figured starting this series would be a great way to consolidate everything I’m currently obsessed with into a more organized format. Think Massie Block’s Current State of the Union, but without all the tween drama (10 points for anyone who just got that reference)
Right now I am Currently…
Obsessing over: Free People’s La Brea V-Neck Sweater! I want it so so bad, but being the frugal fran that I am, paying full price for this sweater is not an option. Once this baby goes on sale, you best believe I’m snagging the one in blush.
Listening to: Spirit Cold by Tall Heights. I low-key take pride in my Spotify playlists and this song has been the latest edition to my “Early Mornings” one. If you’re looking for a mellow playlist to chill out to or use as background music while you’re surfing the internet, this is the playlist for you.
Reading: Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge. My community group from church and I have been going through this book together and It’s been so cool seeing how God has intentionally placed the desires we have in our hearts and how they reveal something about himself. Amazon does a way better job at summarizing what this book is about, so click here if you’re interested in learning more about it.
Eating: Sweet potatoes! I just made a batch for my meal prep this week and the new recipe I’ve been using is to die for. Also, if you’re like me and kinda just wing it when it comes to dicing potatoes, this tutorial shows you how to properly cut them. My life has been forever changed.
Wearing: A cropped gray hoodie from Brandy Melville that I just bought. Does anyone else immediately have to wear something within 24 hours of purchasing it? I can already see myself pairing it with high-waisted leggings to lounge around the house, run errands, or throw on after the gym. Heck, this would be perfect for the airport too! I swore I wouldn’t buy any loungewear for a while, but there was only one hoodie left at Nordstrom, so it had to be a sign right?
Learning: The importance of educating yourself financially. It’s been about 6 months since I started “adulting”, and to tell you I was completely responsible with my finances would be an absolute lie. It’s okay though because I’ve scoured the web and found some pretty awesome resources to help me create a budget and set financial goals. I’ll elaborate more on this topic in another post, but an app that I recently discovered and have been loving is Every Dollar. You start by putting in your monthly income and the app basically forces you to assign every dollar to a specific category. It’s super easy and now you know how much your paycheck allows you to spend on groceries, eating out, clothing, etc. Pure genius.
Well, that’s what I’ve kinda been up to the past few weeks. Let me know if you enjoyed this series and I can definitely do more! I’m always looking for suggestions on TV shows, books, beauty products, etc so I would love to know what you guys have been currently into as well!
